Installing the Latest in Gas Hot Water Systems

Looking to replace an existing electric hot water system with a more cost-effective alternative? Perhaps you’re building a new property and trying to decide which power is best for generating hot water? Whilst solar and mains electric power have their own advantages when it comes to heating your domestic or commercial water supply, so does gas! Because we supply all three, we’re well placed to select the system that works best for your usage and budget.

At Active Solar & Gas, we install and maintain gas hot water systems for customers throughout the Orana region including Dubbo, Cobar, Bourke, Mudgee and Parkes.

How Does a Gas Hot Water System Work?

A gas hot water system uses either bottled LPG or connected natural gas to power a burner that heats the water you use for showering, cleaning dishes, washing your clothes and so much more. Water can either be heated in a storage device – known as a hot water tank system – or as and when you need it through a continuous flow system (AKA instant system).

Whilst ‘instant’ systems are great for avoiding those cold shower days when your kids have taken all the hot water, their flow rates can be more restrictive. Regardless of the system you choose, gas power has a few advantages over electricity including lower greenhouse emissions and running costs – particularly when it comes to avoiding on-peak tariffs.
