Electric Hot Water Systems

Government Incentive Hot Water System Upgrade in Dubbo

Electric Hot Water Systems are Widely Used

Unsure whether to use gas, solar or electric power to heat the water in your new build? Missing the way a high-pressure shower simply washes away a nightmare day?

Whilst solar and ‘instant’ gas hot water systems have their own advantages, electric power is still used by approximately 50% of the Australian population according to the Australian Government

At Active Solar & Gas, we install and maintain electric hot water systems for customers across the Orana Region – including Dubbo, Cobar, Bourke, Mudgee and Parkes. For more info, a service or to price up a new system; call us today. We’re here to help!

How Does an Electric Hot Water System Work?

With Electric hot water systems, cold water is forced into a storage tank through a dip tube and brought to temperature using electric powered heating elements. As hot water rises inside the tank it’s pumped throughout your property’s pipework ready for use.

The reason they’re so common – aside from legacy installs – is because they’re the cheapest system to buy and set-up. They provide full mains pressure to all of your outlets simultaneously, so you can wave goodbye to those weak showers!

The trade-off however is that they’re generally more expensive to run and don’t come with the eco-factor associated with solar or gas. To find out more about all our hot water systems, get in touch!
